Vinyl Wall Words Application Instructions
Items Needed:
- Masking Tape
- Measuring Tape or Level
- Applicator (included in package)
Before application, clean desired surface to remove grease or dust.
*wall words will come in rools because of the length. Unwrap the quote and let it sit flat until it stops wanting to roll itself up. Once the sheet is flat, lay quote on a flat surface with paper side up and smooth out the surface with the plastic applicator to ensure the letters are sticking to the transfer paper.
-
Use a tape measure or ruler to determine the exact area where the quote will be placed.
-
Use small pieces of masking tape to attach to the wall to ensure the quote stays in position
-
Before peeling backer off(the shiny white paper), rub the surface of transfer tape(white masking tape) to ensure adhesion to the transfer tape.
-
Flip vinyl upside down and carefully peel backing paper away from the quote.
-
Once the protective sheet is removed, carefully lay it onto the wall.
-
Use the enclosed applicator to rub across the vinyl, removing any air bubbles. Depending upon the amount of texture on the wall will determine how much rubbing is required(heavy texture requires more rubbing).
-
Slowly remove the cover sheet, making sure the letters adhere to the wall.
-
After cover sheet is removed, rub vinyl on wall with your finger.
ENJOY YOUR WALL ART!
When you are ready to replace your vinyl, simply heat it with a hair dryer and peel it off.
Words can be cut apart and stacked in rows, put on an angle, or arranged around windows and doors and on most wallpaper.
Letters do not contain a background, only the actual letters adhered to your wall. Vinyl lettering can be applied to most non-porous smooth or semi-smooth surfaces. You may find some difficulty applying vinyl lettering to porous or chalk-like surfaces, such as stone, as well as painted surfaces in which flat paint was used, or heavily textured walls.
